Coronavirus Precautions & Restrictions at AIM

Friday, March 13, 2020

Recently, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine took several actions in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). He signed Executive Order 2020-01D, declaring a state of emergency in Ohio to protect the well-being of Ohioans from the dangerous effects of COVID-19. With schools closing and large events being canceled, we are also taking precautions at AIM to protect our patients and staff.

At this time, we have not had any suspected or confirmed cases or exposures to COVID-19 at Alliance Integrative Medicine.

Out of an abundance of caution and respect to other patients and staff, we are now asking you to convert your appointment to a phone visit or reschedule if any of the following apply:

  • have been sick for feeling ill (fever, cough, congestion, muscle aches, shortness of breath)
  • have traveled by air in the last two weeks
  • have any suspected or possible exposure to a sick person

If you change or cancel your appointment due to illness or possible exposure, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.

In order to continue helping as many people as possible, we are offering phone consultations and HIPAA compliant (secure) telemedicine visits to evaluate your symptoms. The physician you speak with may recommend you come into the office to be seen, or give you suggestions that do not require an office visit in order to manage your symptoms better. All phone visits will be subject to a standard office visit charge. We can still supply a superbill so that you can submit to insurance.

For patients who are not ill but prefer to have a telephone or telemedicine visit, please call the office to have your appointment type changed.

Lastly, any patients that are immunocompromised should consider self-quarantine measures. If you have questions, please contact your doctor.
