Our Approach - Alliance Integrative Medicine

Focus Areas

At Alliance Integrative Medicine (AIM), we work with patients with many illnesses. However, There are some areas where our patient’s experience and outcomes are exceptional.

Focus Areas

Because conventional doctors and specialists are still treating parts of the body separately without taking into account how all these areas greatly impact each other, we often see patients that haven’t been able to get results or answers to their health concerns. That’s why at Alliance Integrative Medicine (AIM), we follow a Functional Medicine approach that incorporates advanced functional lab testing and relies on current nutritional science to help you rebalance , restore and heal back to health.

We will only make a medical diagnosis after listening carefully to a patient’s medical history, reviewing testing, looking at lifestyle factors that are materially contributing to illnesses, and then making personalized recommendations based on each patient’s unique situation. This in-depth approach is the only successful way of treating chronic disorders because most chronic illnesses have many causes.

Over the past 23 years, the providers at AIM have worked together as a team to improve patient outcomes and optimize health. Some areas where we have seen the greatest success are listed below. We believe our comprehensive approach to diagnosis, the expertise of our providers, and the team-based approach to optimizing health and wellbeing sets us apart in these focus areas.

Wellness & Well-Being

Unfortunately the term “wellness” is overused and has been misconstrued and is often thought of as the absence of illness.

Non-Opioid Pain Management

While acute pain is a normal sensation triggered in the nervous system to alert you to possible injury, chronic pain is different.

Fatigue

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complex, long-term disorder characterized by extreme fatigue. When confronted with CFS, most conventional doctors cannot explain why it may occur, and their treatments rarely extend beyond addressing the emotional mindset of the patient. However, CFS can have a host of serious biological imbalances that need addressing too.

Digestive Health

No one is immune from the occasional stomach ache; but when bloating, gassiness, diarrhea or constipation become the norm… it’s time to investigate!

Immune Health

Conventional doctors rarely factor in gut health when presented with autoimmune diseases because most are simply not trained to deal with gut dysbiosis. But, when gut health goes unnoticed or ignored, certain syndromes can arise which can trigger an autoimmune response.

Hormonal & Metabolic Balance

Hormones such as estrogen, testosterone, cortisol and insulin are created by endocrine glands and work as chemical messengers throughout your body to accomplish a wide range of important physical and chemical functions.

Allergies & Sensitivities

It is important to understand the differences between these terms especially with regard to food.True (food) allergies can result in a life-threatening immune response and usually show up in childhood. However many people who identify with having allergic reactions that occur later in life may have allergies, sensitivities or intolerances.

Stress

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is a complex, long-term disorder characterized by extreme fatigue. When confronted with CFS, most conventional doctors cannot explain why it may occur, and their treatments rarely extend beyond addressing the emotional mindset of the patient. However, CFS can have a host of serious biological imbalances that need addressing too.

Your treatment at AIM has three stages:

Relief and Repair

Our goal during the relief and repair stage is for you to feel 40 to 50 percent better within your first five treatments. During this phase, treatments may be quite frequent – usually once a week or even more often in severe cases.

Restoration and Regeneration

As your body begins to heal and you start to regain normal levels of function and activity, your need for treatment will become less frequent – usually every two to three weeks.

Realignment and Revitalization

Now that your health has been renewed, you should need treatment less often. Most patients schedule appointments once a month to keep feeling their best.
